The Diva of the Sinhala Screen Anjalene Gunathilaka entertained the Texas Sri Lankan community during a concert held on the 29th of March, 2009 in Houston.  Anjalene brought to life many of her songs that were popular among the Sri Lankan movie goers of the 70's and 80's.  She was joined by local artists Samantha and Subhashini for few of the numbers.  Houston was one of the several stops in Anjalene's 2009 U.S. tour.
