Meeting of Expatriate Sri Lankans in Colombo
As has been stated by His Excellency Mahinda Rajapaksa, President of Sri Lanka, on several occasions, the opportunity has now arisen for Sri Lankan Expatriates who have left the country due to terrorist atrocities to contribute for the future development of their motherland.
This Mission has been informed by the Office of His Excellency the President, that a meeting has been scheduled to be held at the Temple Trees, on 14th November 2009, for Sri Lankan expatriates to meet His Excellency and discuss the future development of our country. They will also be provided with an opportunity to meet and discuss options with representatives from banking, financial, investment and tourism industries as well as other State Institutions at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo on November 15, 2009.
Sri Lankan Expatriates, those who are interested in making use of this opportunity are invited to register themselves with the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Washington D.C. to obtain discounts on airfares, which the Sri Lankan Airlines has enthusiastically offered.
